Dwayne Johnson’s daughter Simon is facing backlash ahead of her WWE debut due to her name in professional wrestling.
Simone, 20, changed her name to Ava Raine on Twitter on Sunday.
She was soon met with criticism by some who believed that her WWE title should relate to her father, known officially by WWE as “The Rock”.
“Giving Simon Johnson, daughter of The Rock, a new name makes absolutely no sense,” one critic wrote on Twitter. “She’ll keep (the rule) until her debut, but if WWE doesn’t recognize her father as The Rock, that’s ridiculous.”
