We’re just over 48 hours away from Halloween – and Netflix has loaded their platform with a bunch of spooky horror movies that are guaranteed to jump off your skin!
While horror movies come in many different shapes and sizes, the adrenaline that comes with the fear of jumping is always unparalleled in the world of cinema.
Regarded as one of the most effective and terrifying moments in a horror movie, ‘Leap of Horrors’ has delighted and astounded audiences for decades. Many will attest that perhaps the horror is where it ignites its magic the most.

1. Insidious (2019)
It’s not only one of the best modern horrors around – it’s also one of the scariest of all time with 24 terrifying jumps throughout the movie – and I rated 10 of those terrifying scares as “big” fears. Eck.

2. Friday the 13th (2009)
Jason Voorhees’ version is Netflix’s most stable with the slash producing 23 scary jumps – and two of them rated as huge jump scares.

3. Paranormal Activity 3 (2011)
Dubbed “the scariest yet,” the third installment in the Paranormal Activity series features a total of 20 terrifying jumps, with three of them being described as big jumps.
