Jane Coates, director of the Sands Bereavement Support Foundation, told the BBC about the importance of programs such as Dragon House To make people aware of what may be offered. She said:
“I think it’s pretty painful for anyone actually.
“With 13 children dying every day in the UK, the situation affects a massive community of people directly as well.
“This way, people can be better equipped with the knowledge and make an informed decision to watch or skip certain scenes or episodes.”
John Whipple, creator of the spoiler website Doesthedogdie.com, added that he believes streaming services should try to “customize warnings to each user, perhaps even recommending what to watch based on the user’s specific triggers.”
