Eagles injury report: Encouraging news at Cowboys Week

The Eagles received some very encouraging news of the injury on Wednesday at the start of Dallas Week.

All of their injured players – left Jordan Millata, center Jason Kelsey, corner kicker Avonte Maddox, kicker Jake Elliott, left goalkeeper Landon Dickerson and right goalkeeper Isaac Sumalo – were listed as having “limited participation” in the team’s official injury report.

Now, the Eagles have had a walkthrough rather than a full practice on Wednesday, which Nick Siriani sometimes does every Wednesday.

According to NFL guidelines, an injury report from a walkthrough is actually an estimate of who would have participated had the team performed a full workout.

But either way, it’s a pretty good sign, especially for the Eagles’ stifling offensive line with fierce pass rushers from the Cowboys who drove into town for Sunday night’s National TV game at Link.

Malata (shoulder), Maddox (ankle) and Elliott (ankle) missed the Arizona game. Malata and Elliott were injured in the Jaguars and Maddox game in training Thursday before the Jacksonville game.

On Sunday, Dickerson (ankle) and Kelchi (ankle) left the bout, Dickerson for 47 shots and Kelsey for three, although both came back. Seumalo (ankle) didn’t miss a snap.

Late in the second quarter, the Eagles had reserve left tackle (Jack Driscoll), left guard (Sawa Opita) and center (Cam Jurgens).

Additionally, Kenny Jenwell’s return (rib) is listed as a limited participant, and the Boston Scott (rib) is not listed at all, meaning he would have been a full participant in training after being hurt against Washington and losing the latter two weeks.

Also, Edge snob Patrick Johnson, who suffered a concussion at a Jaguars game and didn’t play Sunday in Arizona, is listed as a limited participant.

The only player on the roster listed as not participating is rising linebacker Josh Jobe, who hasn’t played in defense this year but is third on the team with 97 specials.
