Georgia-Ohio State – Scenes and scenes from the college football game

Before ringing in the new year, we get the second semifinal of the College Football Playoff as the No. 1 Georgia Bulldogs face the No. 4 Ohio State Buckeyes.

The CFP semifinal game at the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl, held in Atlanta, could be an actual home game for the Bulldogs.

The Bulldogs are the sixth national champions to win a College Football Championship game the following year. However, this could be bad news for UGA. None of the previous five repeated as national champions, but four of the five made it to the title game. The Alabama Crimson Tide were the last team to repeat as national champions in 2011 and 2012.

After the USC Trojans lost the Pac-12 game, Ohio State again crept into the playoff. It concerns Atlanta with a terrible crime. The Buckeyes lead the FBS in yards per game and are second in scoring. Ohio State Quarterback CJ Stroudwho hit 37 goals this season, is the first Big Ten player to hit 30 or more touchdowns in consecutive seasons, according to ESPN Stats & Information.

This would go against the Georgia defense which ranks second in the FBS in yards allowed per game.

Here are highlights and scenes from the game in Atlanta:

Kudos from King James

Marvin Harrison Jr. He found the end zone often this season, and that trend continued as he scored the first touchdown of the game. Harrison Jr. tied Chris Olaf (2021) and David Boston (1998) for the third-most touchdown reception in a single season in Ohio State history with the 13th touchdown reception.
