GTA developer claims that Rockstar has issued a copyright strike against their raw videos

In a tweet, the developer, who was one of the co-founders of DMA Design (now Rockstar North) He said, “I see Rockstar go into full Fuckers mode again, and release copyright infringements of any GTA video they can find — both of my videos included.”

The sample video in question showed one of the original designs for GTA created in the mid-90s when Dundee-based DMA Designs was still known as the Lemming franchise.

Development documentation surrounding the creation of GTA is scarce, but several of the original developers who worked on DMA during the series’ early days have posted some behind-the-scenes development videos in recent years.

Daily’s claim indicates that Rockstar is currently targeting these videos, although Daily’s tweet is the first notable public indication of this.

VGC has reached out to Rockstar for comment, and will update this story if they respond.

Grand Theft Auto 6 will take place in a Miami-based area, and may contain a playable female character, claimed.
