Hogwarts Legacy PS5 Platinum is a pain in the ass

For starters, you will need to find all Collectible in-game – an outrageous 603 items, to be clear. While many of them are relatively easy to locate, and your map includes plenty of checklists, it’s a ridiculous number – and to add insult to injury, the trophy is a bit buggy, meaning it’s possible to end your campaign missing an item or two. .

Games like Days Gone have let you settle for 75 percent more collectibles when the numbers are that big, and we think the same should have applied here. The release also requires interacting with all the open-world bloat: there are an amazing 95 Merlin trials to complete, but they all share the same four or five solutions.

And then, there’s the real player: the game forces you to play through the first five or six hours of the campaign with each house individually, mostly repeating the same missions. four different times. Again, none of this is difficult, but it’s tedious and tedious—the kind of cup design we came up with was way beyond us.

Given the Hogwarts Legacy audience, we think a more visible and attainable Platinum Trophy could have been appreciated here. As it happens, the avalanche has fallen into some avoidable pitfalls. If you’re still anxious to unlock it, you can go back to cup guide as part of Hogwarts Legacy Guide. But let’s hope that the virtual sequel will be more forgiving of the player’s time.
