Indonesia, which is hosting this year’s G20 summit, called for an end to the war in Ukraine on Friday at the start of the group’s foreign ministers’ meeting in Bali.
“It is our responsibility to end the war as soon as possible and resolve our differences at the negotiating table,” Indonesian Foreign Minister Redno Marsudi said in the presence of Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
He pointed out that the effect of the war was “felt all over the world, in terms of food, energy and budgets”. “And as always, poor and developing countries suffer the most.”
