Justine Bateman, an actress who starred in the 1980s sitcom “Family Ties” as a teen, has come out candid about aging.
The 57-year-old, who has expanded her career to also include directing, writing and producing, opened up with an interview with “60 Minutes Australia,” Posted online March 19, about how she realized that many people on the internet were infatuated with her looks.
“I needed to Google something to do a little research, and it reminds me of something that happened when I was famous, so I put my name in, I Googled my name, ‘Justin Bateman,’ and the autocomplete came up and it’s ‘look’,” she said. Age 42 years old at that time.
And she continued, “I was like, ‘What?’ “And I looked at the pictures they had as evidence, and I couldn’t see what they were talking about.”
Bateman also discussed her thoughts on cosmetic procedures, saying she feels “sad” for people who are obsessed with their looks and “just don’t enjoy life”.
She added that she believes plastic surgery will “erase” the authority she has gained over the years.

“I love feeling like I’m a different person now than I was when I was 20,” she said. “I love looking in the mirror and seeing this evidence.”
As for other people’s opinions of her appearance, Bateman said she didn’t care.
“I think I look great,” she continued. “I think my face represents who I am. I like it, and that’s basically the end of the road.”
