Max Holloway praises Alexander Volkanovsky after losing triple

Holloway suffered a unanimous defeat to Volkanovsky in Saturday’s game at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, as a result of which he lost 0-3 in the triple. The third fight was the least competitive in the series, with “Blessed” caught on its feet in a bloody affair.

Instead of coming down on himself, Holloway raised his opponent. He made his first comments since the fight on Sunday, praising Volkanovsky for his performance and describing “great” as the #1 pound-for-pound fighter in the sport right now (via Twitter):

Holloway has given no idea how severely the damage was inflicted in the fight with Volkanovsky, or what could be next in his career after a disappointing result at UFC 276.
