Meghan Markle talks about the death of Queen Elizabeth, Prince Harry

Meghan said when thinking back diverse“There was an outpouring of love and support. I am really grateful to be able to be with my husband to support him, especially during that time.”

“What is so beautiful is looking at the legacy that his grandmother was able to leave on so many fronts. Certainly, in terms of female leadership, she is the most shining example of what that looks like. I am deeply grateful that I was so able to spend time with her and get to know her.”

She continued, “It was a complicated time, but my husband, who had always been an optimist, said, ‘I have now reunited with her husband.'”

When asked about how she looked back on her time with the Queen since her death, Meghan continued, “I thought about that first official engagement I had with her, how special I felt. I feel so fortunate. I continue to be proud that you enjoyed the sweet warmth with the Lord family.”

As for how the family dealt with death, she said, “In the big moments in life, you have a lot of perspective. It makes you wonder what you want to focus your energy on. Right now, we feel so energized and excited about everything. It’s the things we build. We focus. Also on our foundation. A lot of the work we do involves the charitable space.”
