MultiVersus aims to include any and all characters from the Warner Bros. vault. For IP addresses, including Shaggy, Batman, Arya Stark, and even LeBron James. The free fighting game also features its unique spin in Smash Bros. mode. , where the main gameplay mode is 2v2 combat. Characters are designed to work in pairs, adding a level of teamwork not found in other platform fighters. The game has been such a hit so far that the servers have struggled to contain the crowd at times.
While starting the open beta, Season 1 will start on August 9, adding another character to the list. Rick and Morty’s Morty Smith will join in early in the season with Rick Sanchez arriving at some point during the season. Before its additions, MultiVersus had 17 characters in its list, divided into five different categories; Bruiser, Tank, Support, Assassin, and Mage. Each class of characters plays similarly to one another, although each class has its own unique set of attacks and specials.
Another unique mechanic that MultiVersus owns is toast system. After the match is over, you have a chance to toast your opponent and your teammates for a job well done. If you receive a Toast, you will get 20 coins, which can be used to unlock new characters or additional perks.
