Quinta Bronson Interrupts Jimmy Kimmel Monologue With Emmy Show – Deadline

Oh, the payoff has begun, Jimmy Kimmel!

Emmy Award Winner Kenta Bronson — who kissed her first Emmy on Monday while Kimmel played Dead onstage below her — interrupted his ABC talk Wednesday night by showing off her shiny new gear.

Kimmel then welcomed Bronson as his first guest by saying, “I feel like I just saw you. Congratulations on your Emmy. I missed that. How did it go?”

He then went on to explain that it was a “stupid comedy” after losing the Variety Talk Series again to John Oliver. For those who missed it, Will Arnett dragged Kimmel onstage before Bronson was announced as the winner of the Outstanding Writing in a Comedy Award. Kimmel continued to play dead after Bronson took the stage to accept the Emmy.

“Then people said I stole your moment and I probably did, and I’m sorry I did,” he said. “Also, the last thing I’d like to do is upset you because I think a lot of you. I think you know that. And I hope you know that.”

“Jimmy, let me say thank you,” Bronson replied sweetly. “It’s so kind of you to say that. Honestly I was in such a moment to have a good time. I won my first Emmy! I was there like, you know, happy! And I’m done with this moment, just having a good time. I haven’t seen any From that… honestly, I had a good night. It was a good night and a good time.”

Bronson made an appearance earlier on Wednesday after she and her co-star Abbott Elementary The cast members met with the press to talk about the new season. During the session, co-star Cheryl Lee Ralph noted that she wasn’t too happy with Kimmel’s now infamous stunt before Bronson’s Emmy kissed her.

“I was confused,” she told reporters. “I didn’t know what was going on. I wish this guy would get off the floor. Then I realized it was Jimmy Kimmel. Oh, disrespect, Jimmy! But that’s just me. I also told him in the face. He understood.”
