Star Citizen is free to play until the end of November

Star Citizen is free to play between now and the end of the month.

As part of the annual in-game Intergalactic Aerospace Expo (IAE), players can “free test fly” over 120 ships, including the Drake Corsair which supports a crew of up to four players and boasts living quarters and “powerful weaponry”.

Players will be able to “explore the digital event as they would at any conference, from wandering the fully interactive exhibition halls and viewing the newest ships on display each day in stunning detail, to meeting up with friends to explore and take part in exciting activities, or a chance encounter with strangers that sparks new friendships.”

“Get ready for the biggest, best private Whitley’s Guide you’ll ever see!” Developer Cloud Imperium Games teases. “It’ll be packed with exclusive looks, new cars, a special appearance by CEO Drake Anden Arden, and so much more. We’re not leaving anything out this year. Don’t miss it!”

Drake Interplanetary, Anvil Aerospace, and Roberts Space Industries will also unveil new vehicles throughout IAE 2952 “as they arrive on the show floor,” while starting November 27, players can “look forward to rewards from this year’s Ship Showdown competition.”

The final four — Carrack, Mercury, C8X Pisces Expedition, and Scorpius — will all get limited-edition paint options as well, as well as manufacturer challenge coins for a limited time.

Star Citizen has it now Raising over half a billion dollars in funding from backers.
