The US fears that the Iranian army will soon attack Saudi Arabia

“We will not hesitate to defend our interests and partners in the region,” warned a White House spokesman, adding that Riyadh shares a lot of intelligence with Washington, warning of an imminent attack by the Saudi kingdom against Iran.

A New War in the Middle East? According to information from Wall Street Journal, Saudi Arabia says it has shared intelligence with the United States that Iran may launch an “imminent” attack on Saudi Arabia. Due to this exchange of information, the US and countries in the region have increased the level of alert of their military forces, a popular daily indicated on Tuesday evening.

From Reuters, The White House’s National Security Council said it was “concerned” about the potential threat, adding that “Washington remained in constant contact with the Saudis.”

“We will not hesitate to defend our interests and those of our partners in the region,” warned a spokesman for the security agency.

Many demonstrations in Iran

Iran was rocked by an unprecedented wave of protests after Masha Amini’s death. The demonstrations were condemned by Iran’s ideological army, the Revolutionary Guards, which it accused of being manipulated by the West.

Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who has the final say on major government policies, has repeatedly accused the US, Israel and their “agents” (including Saudi Arabia) of fomenting the protest movement.

According to Wall Street Journal, A possible Iranian attack on the Saudi kingdom would be an attempt by the regime to divert attention from the protests.
