I said “what!?”
A contestant on “Wheel of Fortune” was just a letter away from a trip to Antigua when she appeared to “zone out” and miss an obvious answer-complete message during Monday night’s episode.
A shocked audience member broke one of the show’s rules and can be heard shouting, “What!” , in the background after the contestant made the mistake.
A “Teen Week” contestant named Khushi correctly guessed the letter “H” but had to fill in another space on the board to complete the food and drink category.
“FRE_H TROPICAL FRUIT”, almost completed puzzle.
Pat Sajak, host of the legendary “Wheel of Fortune,” told Koschey, “Earn it or roll it, or…but do something quick.”
Khushi nervously agrees to spin the wheel when the rudder lands on a space next to the $650 prize mark.
“I’ll go with a G,” Khushi hesitantly said, before the “wrong answer” buzzer went off and an audience member intervened.
The contestant after Khushi, whose name is Juliana, finally guesses the correct “S” to solve the puzzle as “Fresh Tropical Fruit” to win.
“AG”??? Really?!” 1 Twitter user He said of the mind-boggling moment.
“Seriously. How did you even qualify? Another Twitter user mocked him.
Khushi’s misstep, though, is just another step in the memorable moments in the show’s history.
The host was Sajak Swipe the “Wheel of Fortune” contestant Last month when they guessed the riddle phrase incorrectly too.
The contestant, Ben Tucker, was annoyed when he argued that “running” was one of the answers to the fun and games category.
He said, “Look, I don’t consider running to be fun and games,” followed by a sarcastic “thumbs up” nod afterwards.
In December, a contestant blew his chance to win thousands of dollars when he couldn’t guess the answer “Fix a leak” in “What do you do?” category.
Kate guessed everything from “move a leaf” to “shovel a leaf” but couldn’t come up with the winning answer.
When I was given the correct answer, Kate repeated it and said, “I kept thinking of doing something else with a leak and I didn’t think it was.”
This made Sajk look at the camera and drop his cards in shock.
“Excuse me. I apologize to the audience.
