Patrick Peterson has clarified recent comments criticizing former teammate Kyler Murray. talking on “All Things Covered” podcast on CBS SportsPeterson — who played with Murray in Arizona — recently told co-host Bryant McFadden that basics The quarterback only cares about himself. On Thursday, Peterson said his comments were based on observing Murray’s body language during Cardinals games. Peterson said he did not mean to disrespect Murray “in any way, shape or form”. He added that he had contacted Murray via text message but had not received a response.

I’m just saying something most people would be afraid to tell. It’s no secret. Everyone sees it. You see it every time they appear on TV. You see Killer Murray frowning. Peterson was alluding to Murray’s actions during and after Arizona’s recent loss to the chargersThe Cardinals’ fourth loss in their last five games. Peterson spent the first 10 years of his NFL career with the Cardinals and was teammates with Murray for his final two years in the Sahara. Murray arrived in Arizona in 2019 as the first overall pick in the draft, and Peterson left the franchise after the 2020 season, striking a deal with Minnesota Vikings. During their tenure with the Cardinals during those two seasons, the club could never pass . 500 and had an aggregate of 13-18-1 in the regular season.
It will be interesting to see if Murray chooses to respond publicly to Peterson’s latest comments. Given his initial response via Twitter, it appears Murray would prefer to avoid giving Peterson more attention now that the two are no longer teammates.
