The Crown movie depicts the scene of Princess Diana’s crash near the actual location of Paris

Netflix’s ‘The Crown’ is currently filming its latest season, and it looks like it Princess DianaThe fatal car accident will be front and center…because the show recreates that tragic moment.

Production was underway on Thursday in Paris, and eerily, they were shooting around the Pont de l’Alma tunnel… the inauspicious location where Diana’s driver crashed in 1997 while paparazzi were on board.

The production seems to recreate the actual track and scene as it actually happened – they have photographers on motorbikes surrounding the Mercedes-Benz sedan.

As you know, the death of the 36-year-old shocked the world… her boyfriend, Dodi FayedTheir driver was also killed in the devastating accident.

FYI – fans of the show know Diana, who’s currently playing it Elizabeth DebickiShe made her debut in the show’s fourth season, and there was a lot of excitement surrounding her introduction to the royal plot.

It’s unclear whether Diana’s death will become the main focus of the upcoming season, but it appears the producers and director are aiming to recreate the event as accurately as possible.
