This is a human drama, especially in large numbers. At least 53 illegal immigrants, mostly from Guatemala, were killed in a truck crash in southern Mexico on Thursday, December 9, a country caught between the emigration pressure of its poorest neighbors and the state – United.
The accident happened near Tuxtla Gutierrez, not far from the border. According to initial descriptions of the civil defense, the immigrants were trapped in the trailer of the truck. Eyewitnesses said the truck crashed into a wall at full speed.
