Granite states in the Lake District reported feeling a slight tremor early Sunday morning. The US Geological Survey said areas west of Lake Winnesquam experienced a 2.3-magnitude earthquake at about 4:23 a.m., and many viewers in Laconia and Sanbornton called News9 saying they felt the shaking, and this is the first earthquake to shake parts of New Hampshire since now. An earthquake of magnitude 1.7 was detected in Lisbon on October 7, 2022.
