Brit Awards – Grand Prix in music In the UK – It will be unveiled in London on Saturday, and some of the biggest names from pop to rock from around the world are hoping to walk away with a statuette or three.
English singer-songwriter Ray leads the contenders and has the most nominations ever in the Brits, with seven. Her debut album, “My 21st Century Blues,” received high praise last year, which is reflected in her multiple nominations, including Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, and Best New Artist, as well as the R&B and Pop categories. RAYE also already won the Songwriter of the Year award before the ceremony.
Along with Ray, the list of Artist of the Year nominees includes Dua Lipa, Arlo Parks, Jessie Ware, Little Sims and Olivia Deen, marking a significant improvement over last year's group of contenders, which It did not include a specific act of female identification.
In the Best New Artist category, RAYE is joined by Mahalia, Olivia Dean, PinkPantheress and Youssef Days.

The Brit Awards are held at the O2 Arena in London, and are hosted by Maya Jama, Roman Kemp and Clara Amfo. Among the announced artists who will take the stage are Dua Lipa, Kylie Minogue, Ray, Tate McRae, Jungle, and more. Minogue is also set to receive the prestigious Global Icon Award.
