Buc-ee ‘world’s largest’ store opens

The world’s largest Buc-ee’s is now open in Sevierville, Tennessee, which is only about 2.5 hours from Upstate. The popular road chain, with a very loyal following, opens Monday at 170 Buc-ee Street, that’s just off Exit 407 in Sevierville. (The video above is from May when WYFF News 4 spoke with the Tourism Officer about the opening) Amanda Marr, director of marketing and communications for the Sevierville Chamber of Commerce, told WYFF News 4 Gabrielle Komorowski in May that the store will include 120 gas pumps, an EV charging station, and a car wash. Over 200 feet long, nearly 74,000 square feet of all Buc-ee goodness—brisket, pulled pork, all baked goods. Sevierville is about 2.5 hours from Greenville. Sevierville is the hometown of country music star Dolly Parton. “If you’re a Dolly fan and have never been to Sevierville, what are you waiting for? There’s so much to do here that’s Dolly-related, and downtown Sevierville is a great place to start. You can see the bronze statue of Dolly Parton there since 1987,” Marr said in May. And The Pines, for those who don’t know, was the original theater where Dolly played her first paid gig at the age of 10.” Other attractions in Sevierville include a new digital cinema experience called the Xperia Ocean Journey, which takes people under the sea, Marr said.
