Google Pixel Fold and Pixel 7a release dates and pricing have been leaked

It’s been a long time coming, but it looks like we may finally be getting a Google Pixel Fold soon. A new leak shares its release details, such as its announcement date, pre-order details, and most importantly, its price. Similarly, new details of the Pixel 7a were also revealed, giving us details on the release date and some new colors.

the New report comes from John Prosser Through his Twitter account, where he shares details about when the Google Pixel Fold will be announced. Moreover, Prosser also has details about pre-order dates for the upcoming device. Prosser has been fairly reliable in the past, but like anything casual, these details can always change.

As far as we should expect the Pixel Fold, Prosser mentions that it will be announced on May 10th. Pre-orders for the device will also launch on the Google Store on the same day, giving ardent enthusiasts and consumers a first. As far as wireless carriers and other retailers are concerned, the pre-order window will come a little later, dropping on May 30th. Now, as for the final retail release date, so far, we’re now looking at June 27th. Price, we’re looking at $1,799.

As for the much-leaked Pixel 7a, Prosser shares that the phone will be announced on May 10, and that it will be available for purchase on the same day. Perhaps the most surprising news is that the Pixel 6a will not be discontinued. As far as pricing goes, according to 9to5Google, The price will come in at $499. With that in mind, it will be interesting to see what kind of price adjustments, if any, will be made to the Pixel 6a.

As far as colors go, the Pixel 7a will be available in the usual Charcoal and Snow. But this year’s exclusive shade will be Sea, a light blue that was unofficially revealed about a week ago. Apparently, Google will also release an exclusive color in its own store named Coral.

When it comes to the specifications of the upcoming smartphones from Google, both are expected to come with the Google Tensor G2 processor. In terms of RAM and internal storage configurations, nothing concrete has been revealed at this point, but you can expect it to be on par with other smartphone offerings. For the most part, this is all really exciting news, as the foldable Pixel has been rumored for years.

Now, as mentioned earlier, there’s a chance that some of this information may be broken, since it’s a leak, so while hopes are high, don’t count on everything coming into place on May 10th. However, Google I/O 2023 will be held on May 10th, so anticipation for the event should now be at an all-time high.
