Hezbollah chief says Iran's response to attack on Iranian embassy in Damascus “inevitable”

Hassan Nasrallah blamed Israel for the strike, which it did not confirm was responsible.

Iran predicts retaliation. Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah will rule on Friday, April 5 “unavoidable” Iran's response to an Israeli attack on the Iranian embassy in Damascus, killing 16. “Rest assured that an Iranian response to the strike on the consulate in Damascus is inevitable”Hassan Nasrallah said in a televised address that thousands of Iranians took to the streets in Tehran to express their anger.

Seven Iranian soldiers, including two top officials, were killed in Monday's attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus. Iran immediately blamed Israel, which did not confirm its responsibility. According to Hezbollah, the strike on the embassy marks a turning point in the ongoing war in Gaza.

Hezbollah “Not afraid of war, fully prepared for any war” Hassan Nasrallah warned in his speech at Al-Quds Day (Jerusalem), held every last Friday of Ramadan, against Israel, the Palestinians and Israel.
