The ABA confirmed on Monday evening that some marathon runners who crossed the finish line near the end of the race did not get a medal finish. A written statement from a spokesperson for the media read, “The British Flying Authority is aware that some winners after approximately 5:15pm have not been awarded a medal finisher.” “We have begun reaching out to affected athletes, and will ensure medals are provided to the runners as quickly as possible. The BAA congratulates all of the winners of this year’s race.” Medals by mail.

Participants WCVB spoke with said they had been told by the BAA that they would receive their medals by mail.
