Indiana Fever rising star Kaitlyn Clark is experiencing it fast WNBA Career, as the No. 1 overall pick confirmed Sunday that she is not among the 12-man USA Basketball women’s team roster for the Paris Olympics.
During Indiana’s practice session on Sunday, Clark provided the perfect response to the omission, as Fever coach Christy Sides explained.

Clarke also had the opportunity to speak to reporters and praised the players heading to Paris and said she would be watching the match.
“I’m excited for the girls on the team,” Clark said. “I know they’re the most competitive team in the world, and I know it could have gone either way whether I was on the team or not on the team. I’m excited for them.
“I’ll be rooting for them to win the gold medal. I was a kid who grew up watching the Olympics. It’ll be fun to watch.”
Clark also said she received a phone call beforehand letting her know she would not be making the cut.
“They called me and let me know before everything came to light, which was really out of respect for them, and I appreciate that,” Clark said. “They did the same thing with every girl that made the team or every girl that didn’t make the team. There’s a lot of guys in the Olympic pool. It wasn’t like I was the only one they had to call. They had to make a few more calls.”
The 12-player roster is said to include Asis Wilson, Breanna Stewart, Sabrina Ionescu, Nafisa Collier, Kahleigh Cooper, Alyssa Thomas, Brittney Griner, Jackie Young, Diana Taurasi, Joel Lloyd, Kelsey Bloom, and Chelsea Gray.
Clarke is in the US National Team squad, so she is still eligible for a call-up as a substitute if one of the 12 players mentioned above is unable to go.
If not, Clark will have a chance to participate in the 2028 Olympics, which will be held there Los Angeles.
Meanwhile, Clarke will be in the lab creating her monster crossbow.
