William and Harry made their first appearance with Harry and Meghan this Saturday. They greeted the audience for a long time.
This is the first time in months that William and Harry have been seen together with their wives. The brothers, who haven’t spoken to each other since Harry and Meghan moved to California, came to pray together in Windsor this Saturday, two days after Queen Elizabeth’s death.
The four marched off to applause from the crowd gathered to pay tribute to Elizabeth II. After a long time of greeting the visitors, shaking hands and chatting, everyone left in the same car.
On Friday, King Charles, who extended an olive branch to Meghan and Harry, expressed his “love for Harry and Meghan as they continue to build their lives abroad” in his speech.
Meghan and Harry’s interview with Oprah Winfrey in April 2021 completed the deterioration of the relationship between William and Harry, but also the relationship between Harry and his father Charles. The couple revealed many embarrassing details to the British family, including raising suspicions of racism within the family.
Harry and Meghan have barely returned to Britain since stepping down from their senior roles in the royal family, dubbed “Mexit” by the press. On July 1, 2021, for the unveiling of the statue of their mother Princess Diana, the two brothers could be seen together, but were very cold towards each other.
William and Harry exchanged a few words at their grandfather Prince Philip’s funeral. But Meghan later stayed in America with her children Archie and Lilibet.
The Sussexes, however, were not invited to stand on the Buckingham balcony if they had come to the Queen’s platinum ceremony last June. On this occasion they did not cross paths with Kate and William. The Cambridges were on the other side of the country when the Queen visited her great-granddaughter, little Lilibet.
