Ozzy Osbourne’s daughter was injured in a fatal fire in the recording studio

(KTLA) – One person was killed and two others were injured, including Ozzy Osbournedaughter, when a fire broke out in a building in Hollywood, California, Thursday evening.

The fire was first reported around 6:35 p.m. in an industrial building.

Firefighters arrived to find smoke rising from a two-story concrete building. The Los Angeles Fire Department said 78 firefighters put out the flames in about 51 minutes.

When firefighters searched the building, they found a dead person inside the building. The identity of that person was not immediately revealed.

Fire officials said two people who were at the site complained of respiratory problems related to exposure to smoke, were treated and released at the scene.

Sharon Osbourne, TV personality and wife of legendary rocker Ozzy Osbourne, posted a comment on the fire Her Instagram page. In her post, she said the couple’s daughter, Amy Osborne, was on the block at the time working in a recording studio.

Osbourne’s daughter was one of the two who came out alive, according to the talk show host and reality TV star.

“It is absolutely heartbreaking that someone lost their life today in this fire and we send our prayers to this person and their family,” Sharon Osbourne said on Instagram. What happened today was very terrifying.”

Sharon Osborne described the building as “a creative center for music in Hollywood. While offering her condolences for the lives lost and the destruction of musical equipment in the fire, she criticized what she believed to be a lack of fire safety and regulations in the building.”

“I really hope going forward that buildings like this are better regulated for fire safety,” her post read. She said the venue “should have been regulated in accordance with the fire-fighting law”.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. It is unclear at this time whether or not the building actually lives up to the code.
