Samsung Health update may bring temperature cycle tracking to more markets

Samsung Health is getting a new update. What does the new bring? This part is somewhat murky due to the way Samsung sometimes distributes changelogs for app updates. But we can make an educated guess.

The tech giant is now rolling out Samsung Health 6.24.0.087 In some markets, including India. Unfortunately, the changelog appears to be copy-and-paste from previous versions, which means it can’t be fully trusted. Samsung does this sometimes for unknown reasons and redistributes old changelogs with new versions of the app.

For what it’s worth, the changelog mentions that several bug fixes and improvements have been applied. More importantly, menstrual cycle prediction based on skin temperature is now supported for the Galaxy Watch 5. This isn’t anything new in itself, but it could be a new addition to the Galaxy Watch 5 in more markets.

Temperature-based cycle monitoring may be available in more markets

Samsung originally released the skin temperature-based cycle tracking feature for the Galaxy Watch 5 a couple of months ago in select markets, India not being among them.

Since then, Samsung has been using the same change. And now that version 6.24.0.087 is reusing the same information as it was being rolled out in India, this could mean that the cycle monitoring feature based on skin temperature may now be available in India and possibly other markets.

Originally, as in mid-April, Samsung The feature gradually released in USA, Korea, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.

If you have the Galaxy Watch 5 in India and other markets not mentioned above, you can check if the skin temperature PMS feature is available from the cycle tracking screen by accessing settings and see if you can enable “Forecast period with skin temperature” Laboratory feature.
