Square Enix shines a spotlight on itself by giving the infamous low poly grape from Final Fantasy XIV

Square Enix has officially gotten into the joke surrounding the infamous Final Fantasy 14 grapevine as the publisher is giving away real versions of it at the Final Fantasy 14 fanfest.

Square Enix has announced a gift bag for those attending the fan event in Las Vegas July 28-29. Among the random pieces of goodies in that bag is a vegan version of grapes that became an instant meme when the Endwalker expansion launched.

Although the massive chunk of downloadable content was generally well-liked by fans, the internet erupted into hulking laughter at the one piece of its environment that featured cubed grapes.

Anyone with a ticket to the Final Fantasy 14 Fan Festival will receive a grapevine along with a crossbody bag with the event’s logo, 10th anniversary pin, Loporrit Carrot pen, Grebuloff magnet, and Azem’s Crystal keychain.

It is not clear if these exact items will also be distributed in the upcoming fan festivals that will be held in Europe and Japan.

In our 9/10 review of the latest major expansion, IGN said: “Final Fantasy 14’s Endwalker expansion makes the longest story with a satisfying ending and cements its place as one of the best Final Fantasy stories ever.”
