Switch update 18.0.0

Nintendo started the latest Converts Firmware update, version 18.0.0 is being rolled out worldwide.

Previous updates were usually about stability. While that's still the case here, it's at least a little more interesting this time around. Sleep mode settings now include a 15-minute option to automatically sleep when connected to a TV. In addition, Korean support has been added for the Switch Parental control intro video.

  • Korean has been added as a supported language for the “Nintendo Switch Parental Controls” introductory video.
    • When the console language is set to Korean, the video can be accessed from Settings > Parental Controls.
  • General system stability improvements to enhance user experience.

Before today, the last Switch update was version 17.0.1 at the end of December. In addition to the recent stability, a local connection issue for some programs has been fixed. You can read about it here.
