The Clippers say Kawhi Leonard is questionable for Game 2 against the Mavs

Playa Vista, California. — Clippers star Kawhi Leonard remains questionable for Game 2 of Los Angeles' first-round playoff series with the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday night.

Leonard participated in practice on Monday, but coach Ty Lue said there would be no contact during what he described as a trial practice session designed to clean up things the team needs to work on.

“He's going to practice today and we'll see,” Lue said when asked if Leonard would play Tuesday.

Leonard has missed nine straight games because of inflammation in his right knee, which has had surgeries in the past for ACL and meniscus injuries.

Leonard has not played since March 31, and Lue said he did not make any contact before being listed as questionable on the injury report and missing Sunday's first game.

If Leonard doesn't return Tuesday, he will have three more days before Game 3 on Friday in Dallas.

The Clippers lead the best-of-seven series, 1-0.
