The woman who brought back Lady Gaga’s bulldog is suing her

  • BuzzFeed News Lady Gaga has reportedly been sued in connection with the theft of her bulldog in 2021.
  • A woman, Jennifer McBride, turned Gaga’s two dogs over to the police shortly after the robbery.
  • McBride said that she never received the promised $500,000 bonus and that Gaga had “defrauded” her.

Jennifer McBride, the woman who returned Lady Gaga’s dogs after they were stolen in 2021, is suing the singer, saying she never received the promised $500,000 reward. BuzzFeed News was the first to do a program Case report.

In February 2021, Ryan Fisher was injured by dogs while walking a French bulldog. The perpetrators stole two of the three dogs, Coogee and Gustav. After the accident, Gaga offered a $500,000 reward for the safe return of Koji and Gustav.

Police arrested five people in April 2021 – including McBride, who “found” the dogs and turned them in to police two days after the theft.

Although police initially believed McBride was not involved in the crime, it was later revealed that he had a relationship with the father of one of the suspects involved, Insider previously reported.

According to the Los Angeles Times, McBride was sentenced to two years in prison In December 2022 after no objection was filed on one count of receiving stolen property.

That same month, James Howard Johnson, the man who shot Fisher, was sentenced to 21 years in prison, in Los Angeles Times.

According to the lawsuit obtained by BuzzFeed NewsMcBride claims she “suffered compensatory damages, pain and suffering, mental anguish, and loss of enjoyment of life” because she did not receive the reward.

The suit also alleges that Gaga “defrauded” McBride “by promising without the intent to perform.”

Gaga’s reps did not immediately respond to Insider’s request for comment.
