Tiger Woods will play at the prestigious pro-member Seminoles on Monday

Tiger Woods has not said whether he will compete in the Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass — the so-called fifth major championship — later this month, but he will make at least one start in Florida.

Woods, 48, is scheduled to play in the prestigious Seminole Professional Championship on Monday at Seminole Golf Club in Juno Beach, Florida. This will be Woods' first appearance at the event.

According to the tee sheet posted on X by 5 Clubs Golf, the 15-time major winner is scheduled to play with PGA of America CEO Seth Waugh, Justin Thomas, and Mike Walrath, CEO of software company Yext.

The 18-hole event field also includes Rory McIlroy and his father, Jerry. former NFL quarterback Tom Brady; Seminoles Golf Club President and Independent Director of the PGA Tour Policy Council Jimmy Dunn III; MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred; LPGA star Nelly Korda; and PGA Tour players Tony Finau, Rickie Fowler, Matt Fitzpatrick, Collin Morikawa and Cameron Young.

For the second year in a row, the field does not include LIV Golf League players.

On February 16, Woods withdrew from the second round of the Genesis Invitational at Riviera Country Club outside Los Angeles due to illness, later confirmed to be influenza. He was given intravenous bags and was treated by doctors at the club.

Woods was making his first appearance in an official PGA Tour event since withdrawing from a rain-delayed third round at the Masters in April.

Since returning to professional golf after suffering serious injuries in a car crash outside Los Angeles in February 2021, Woods has withdrawn or missed the cut in four of his six starts. His two finishes were a tie for 45th at the 2023 Genesis Invitational and a solo 47th at the 2022 Masters.

Woods said last month that he hopes to play at least one tournament a month if his body allows it. The field for the Players Championship, scheduled for March 14-17 at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., will be announced Friday.
