Bombing continues in Donbass and towns near the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant

Russian artillery strikes again on the right bank of the Dnieper opposite the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant. Dnipropetrovsk Region Governor Valentin Reznitchenko said several strikes overnight from Saturday to Sunday left several districts of Nikopol without power. According to Ievhen Yevtouchenko, head of Nikopol’s military administration, rocket fire also damaged a dozen residences in Marhanets.

The town of Zaporizhia (located in the town of Enerhodar), about 40 kilometers north of the nuclear power plant, was shot overnight, injuring two people, said Anatolii Kurtiev, one of the city council members and mayor.

In eastern Ukraine, where Russian and separatist forces are still trying to seize control of the Donetsk region, shelling hit the key cities of Kramatorsk and Sloviansk, but there were no casualties, the oblast’s governor, Pavlo Kyrilenko, said.
