John Oliver reveals how he’s been hunting Dr. Oz for years

In the Sunday evening edition of last week tonightAnd John Oliver The show began with a conversation The last endorsement of former President Donald Trump snake oil seller Dr. Mohamed Ozwho pushed hard Hydroxychloroquine as a treatment for COVID-19 During the pandemic, in the Pennsylvania Senate race.

“You know, when you’ve been on TV for 18 years, it’s like a poll. It means people are like you,” Trump said of Oz.

“Wonderful. I haven’t heard that voice in a while, and to be honest, I Is that true You didn’t miss it. Oliver cracked, “The first growl in that clip was like hearing a lawnmower that you know is about to sexually molest you.” Now, for his claim out there that being on TV for so long is like a poll showing people like you, that just isn’t true. Believe me. I’ve been on TV in this country for 16 years now and I’m still getting comments on YouTube like, ‘I wish I could Stop soon, ”Why isn’t it funny, Mr. Beans are so crazy?'”

Oliver proceeded to describe Dr. Oz’s Senate campaign as a “dirty show,” including revealing that Dr. Oz apparently didn’t spend much time at all in Pennsylvania.

For years, he’s lived in New Jersey, and his social media still shows him frequently at his North Jersey mansion, so he’s running for office in a state he doesn’t seem to want to live in — a clever political move known as the “Eric Adams Special,” Show Oliver.

Then the late-night host revealed that the Dr. Oz show was filmed in his same studio and that Dr. Oz’s offices were across from the last week tonight, prompting Oliver’s staff to place a giant middle finger crocodile in Dr. Oz’s office. One of the biggest flaws in the Dr. Oz campaign is the TikTok videos of himself filling his car with gas and then blaming Biden and Democrats for the high prices.

“Look, gas prices are a real concern, but Dr. Oz is worth over $100 million, so it’s a bit strange for him to act like he’s specifically draining his budget,” Oliver said. “But maybe he’s just posting those videos to push less relevant content down his page like, ‘I don’t know, this.'”

He then delivered a video Dr. Oz posted of himself surfing in Italy with the caption “Surfin” by #Italy like “and tuned in to “Oooh Ahh (My Life Be Like)” by Grits.

“And the truth is, that’s what his life looks like because he’s so rich, which means he can do things like that,” Oliver explained. “But what he didn’t do was stand in front of the gas pumps and pretend he was personally affected by those numbers.”

He continued, “I talked a lot about nonsense Dr. Oz Show And I did it because it was relentlessly awful. But what is clear now is that I didn’t just appreciate how hard his employees worked every day to make sure it wasn’t worse. He’s had to give up his platform to go running for Senate, and if any of his employees come back to our office in the coming weeks to clear their stuff, we’ve already left a new private message for them on our alligator: “I’m sorry, it seems like a silly nightmare. Because Is that true Do.”
