Kevin Costner’s “Horizon” gets an 11-minute standing ovation at its Cannes premiere

Kevin Costner’s Western epic “Horizon: An American Saga” had its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival on Sunday, where it received an 11-minute, 40-second ovation after the credits rolled at the Grand Theater Lumiere.

The three-hour film is the first chapter of a planned four-part series directed by and starring Costner, who was showered with applause along with his co-stars including Sienna Miller, Alejandro Edda, Jena Malone, Abby Lee, Georgia MacPhail, Ella Hunt, Isabelle Fuhrman , Wassie’s boss, Luke Wilson and Costner’s son, Hayes Logan Costner.
