Four G7 countries have banned Russian gold imports
As the G7 summit kicks off in Bavaria on Sunday morning, the UK, US, Canada and Japan announced a ban on Russian gold imports.
“These actions will directly attack Russian oligarchy and the heart of Putin’s war machine,” said British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, who is meeting with leaders of key industrial powers in Germany for three days.
Kiev mayor says Russian strike aims to intimidate Ukrainians ahead of NATO summit
According to Q’s mayor, although the NATO summit is set to open on Tuesday, a Russian strike targeting a residential area of the city this morning is aimed at “intimidating Ukrainians.”
“Intimidation of Ukrainians (…) as NATO summit approaches,” declared Vitaly Klitschko, who visited the site of the eruption just days before the summit of the Atlantic Alliance, hated by Russia.
Four bombs were heard in the queue this Sunday morning
Four explosions were heard overnight from Saturday to Sunday, around 3:30 GMT, AFP reporters reported. According to the Ukrainian deputy official, 14 Russian missiles were fired into the Kiev region and city.
A residential complex near the city center was attacked, causing a large cloud of fire and ash to form.
For now, it is not known if anyone was affected by these bombings.
“Several explosions in the Chevchenkivsky district,” said Kyiv Mayor Vitaly Klitschko, heading northwest from the center of the capital. “Ambulances and rescue workers are on site. In two buildings, residents are being evacuated,” he added.

Moscow to supply nuclear-capable missiles to Belarus
Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on Saturday that Russia would supply Belarus with nuclear-capable missiles “in the coming months”, receiving Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko.
In dangerous statements that would further destabilize relations between Moscow and the West, the two leaders also indicated that they wanted to make the Belarusian Air Force capable of carrying nuclear weapons.

The Russian army has complete control of Chevroletonetsk
The Russian military has taken full control of the eastern Ukrainian city of Severdonetsk, and the city’s mayor Oleksandre Stroik announced on Ukrainian television on Saturday that weeks of heavy fighting had broken out.
On Friday, the Ukrainian military announced that it would withdraw from the 100,000-strong city before the war in order to better protect the neighboring city of Lisitshansk.
