No hit ‘Anthem’, ‘Titanfall’ come back to life with EA now totally averse to risk

If Microsoft did indeed acquire Activision Blizzard, that would leave EA as the largest third-party publisher left on the market, even if that day and for six hours everyone thought Amazon was buying it.

Today, there was a claim going around Twitter About dead games or series that people would like to see resurrected. Battleborn’s Gearbox was used as a prime example (ehhh) but I saw a couple of games coming out the most, including my pick, Anthem. The other, of course, is Titanfall, both of which are from EA, provider of broken dreams.

Anthem was BioWare’s first shooter that aimed to rival the Destiny era. It was incomplete at launch and went through several rounds of rework before eventually being closed prior to the Grand 2.0’s total renovation. But eventually she had figured out how to play and even loot it.

Titanfall lasted two games, but while it’s continued its Apex Legends, battle royale game tradition, there’s little sign that the series will get an entirely new installment. The best we get is Respawn saying “Maybe we’re thinking of hoping to do this one day!”

These games will not be revived, nor will sequels be built anytime soon, if ever. probably no never. Why? All you need to do is look at the list of upcoming EA games to understand. At this point EA is almost completely risk averse, sticking with the previous name-id series and now cashing in some of the biggest entertainment IPs on the market, Star Wars and Marvel.

lets take alook:

  • Dead Space remake – A remake of a popular game from 2008. A sure thing if handled well. He was.
  • Star Wars: Jedi Survivor – Sequel to the hit game from Respawn.
  • Dragon Age 4 — the production is definitely troubled, but it’s the fourth game in a previously popular franchise.
  • New block effect – The “recovery” effort after Andromeda and where many of the old Anthem team ended up.
  • Need for speed – they will keep making them forever.
  • EA Motive Iron Man game Heading to Marvel territory with the company that worked on the Dead Space edition. Before that they were working on the Star Wars game.
  • Star Wars Respawn’s FPS Respawn is making a non-Jedi Star Wars game that this time will be a Dark Force-inspired FPS.
  • Star Wars strategy game More Star Wars. A mix of action and strategy from ex-XCOM developers.
  • EA Sports – I mean what needs to be said.
  • The new battlefield – are set to return to the franchise at some point, which will be the tenth game in the series.
  • New Black Panther game – This was it just announcedthe second upcoming Marvel IP in the works, this time from a new studio, Cliffhanger, made up of vets from Mordor, Halo, and God of War.
  • Apex Legends – You see, the Just A fairly new IP on this list so far, this was sort of an accidental debut hit that could never have been predicted, at least judging by its completely sudden launch and lack of marketing. And now all of Respawn’s multiplayer ambitions are being poured into this instead of Titanfall, while the rest of Respawn has several single-player projects in the works at any one time (most recently, they’re both Star Wars).
  • wild hearts – Well, here it is, the new IP, the original game on a good-looking budget that recently arrived without much fanfare. From Koei Tecmo and the Dynasty Warriors take on a version of the Monster Hunter in feudal Japan. It got decent enough reviews but didn’t make much of an impact.

As you can see, there’s no way to fall back on “failed” series like Anthem or Titanfall even if they just need a little more time, a little more resources to really shine. And it feels like the days of trying big twists like that are over at EA, now with an endless string of Star Wars and Marvel games coming back to the safer series they once were. He was This kind of big fluctuations. Times have changed.
