Rachel Maddow says she’ll go to the schedule once a week in May – Deadline

Rachel Maddow Announced that she will go to a weekly schedule hosting MSNBC‘s The Rachel Maddow Show Only on Monday nights starting in May.

The rotating hosts will fill in for the rest of the week, and there are no immediate plans for a replacement host at this time, according to a network spokesperson.

Madhu said on her show Monday, when she returned from a two-month hiatus to work on special projects, including a movie version of Ha man bag Podcast and book.

Since she signed a new deal with MSNBC and NBCUniversal last year, there have been reports that she plans to scale back her schedule. She has hosted the show since 2008 and has been MSNBC’s highest-rated personality, but is said to have wanted to get away from the rigors of the week’s schedule. Madhu told viewers that she will continue to host Monday through Thursday this month, and will also return to cover special events.

When she announced her hiatus in February, Madhu indicated she might take another one.
