This is the most chosen class in ‘Diablo 4’ at launch

Diablo 4 launches with five classes, all of which trace their roots through the last three Diablo games in one form or another, even if their skills and abilities have been revamped and updated for the modern era.

While I’m sure some sort of big infographic will give away more data at some point (including, hopefully, the fastest-selling Blizzard game of all time?), we at least know what the game’s most selectable chapter is. . Frankly, this was not what I expected.

She’s a witch/witch.

This is from Diablo GM Rod Fergusson who felt like sharing those individual stats this week:

As such, it does not come with any other data showing the ranking of the other four categories in order. Given that I wasn’t expecting Magician #1, who honestly knows what’s next. My guess would be 2) Rogue, 3) Barbarian, 4) Necromancer, 5) Priest. Why? I think the Druid is probably the least known ‘archetype’ and many players might not really relate to the class if they haven’t played the Diablo 2 expansion. But it’s a very good class regardless! Again, these are just my guesses. I thought Rogue or Barb would be #1, but Rogue can be a little complicated for some and Barb can be a bit boring with his melee focus and lack of magic.

The Wizard/Witch/Wizard class, along with the Barbarian, was now in all four Diablo games. I think they’re the better pick because of the wide range of elemental powers they can use, lighting, frost, and fire, mainly, with flashy spells and high damage. Such high damage, in fact, I also think they probably top a lot of “what’s strongest class” lists, and people might make up their minds that way so they can Ice Shard on their way to victory at the end of the game. But beware, fast extinctions are always around the corner in Diablo, which had a catalog of them before the official launch. Interestingly, the Mage, of all classes, was hardly affected at all.

Personally, magician is usually my last choice. I don’t have a particular reason, I don’t really like the archetype or the gameplay, at least in the previous games. I’m not saying it’s bad or not fun, just a matter of personal preference for me. I’ll play one eventually, but it’ll probably be my 4th or 5th choice to be honest. I started with Barbarian, working on Rogue, Priest is definitely next. But to each of them.
