Via Spider-Verse’Team on Miles Morales, Spider-Woman Movies – Miscellaneous

Since “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse” finally hits theaters this weekend, the producers behind the trilogy have their eyes set on the third installment, “Beyond the Spider-Verse,” next year.

However, this is not the only web project they have in mind.

Producer Amy Pascal says a Spider-Woman and Miles Morales movie is in the works. “You’ll see all of that,” she told me Tuesday at the “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse” premiere in Los Angeles. “Everything happens.”

Producer Avi Arad teased that moviegoers will see “Spider-Woman” “sooner than you might expect.”

“I can’t tell you yet, but it’s coming,” he said.

Pascal also said that a fourth Spider-Man movie with Tom Holland and Zendaya is still in the works, but that the writers’ strike has temporarily halted development. Are we going to make another movie? We’re all pro and whenever they come together, we’ll get started.”

Sony chief Tom Rothman has been more cautious about the future. He laughed, “If I tell you, I will kill you.”

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse sees the return of Shamik Moore as Miles Morales and Hailee Steinfeld as Gwen Stacy.

It certainly looks like Steinfeld is ready for a standalone “Spider-Woman” movie. She said of the vocal work: “This is like my dream job, record me over and over again”. “I have to be comfortable! It’s a dream to be in a place where it feels comfortable but also creative, free and exciting to be a part of.”

“Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse,” directed by Joaquim Dos Santos, Justin K. Thompson, and Kemp Powers, premieres Friday, June. 2. The cast also includes Issa Rae, Daniel Kaluuya, Jason Schwartzman, Brian Tyree Henry, Luna Lauren Velez, Rachel Dratch, Shea Whigham, Leland “Metro Boomin” Wayne, Ziggy Marley, Ayo Edeberry and Danielle Perez.
