A Sacramento man was arrested after being stabbed at Levi’s Stadium

A man was arrested Tuesday by detectives from both the Sacramento Police Department and the Santa Clara Police Department in connection with a stabbing incident at Levi’s Stadium. Santa Clara police said the stabbing took place on Sunday during soccer’s CONCACAF Gold Cup match, after a fight broke out on the field. Police said a man was taken to a local hospital with a serious injury near his upper collar bone. Police said they spoke to witnesses, viewed footage at the stadium, and identified a suspect who fled the scene and a person of interest. The person in question was released at the scene after investigators determined they did not commit any crimes, according to Santa Clara Police. A Santa Clara County Superior Court judge authorized the arrest and ordered a search of the suspect, 29-year-old Alejandro García.
