The Hollywood actress, 55, stunned onlookers when she offered a staggering $150,000 (US$100,000) for a signed hat worn by Hugh in the show, with proceeds from the auction going to Broadway Cares.

She is then seen walking down the center aisle of the Winter Garden Theatre, leaving theatergoers in shock, before walking up to the stage and hugging her longtime friend to a standing ovation.
“Nicole you are extraordinary! Your generosity is truly amazing. Thank you my friend,” Hugh wrote in the post, thanking his Aussie co-star.
Hugh also shared a photo of the two of them in the musical and wrote: ‘The generosity and love emanating from Nicole leaves me speechless.
“Thank you Nick for your friendship and support!” he added.
Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS is a nonprofit organization that provides life-saving medicines, health care, nutritious meals, counseling, and emergency financial assistance to people across the United States.

This comes after it was revealed that Nicole will receive a Life Achievement Award from the American Film Institute next year.
The 55-year-old superstar, who grew up in Sydney, will be the first Australian to win the award.
Previous winners include such legendary figures in world cinema as Jane Fonda, George Clooney, Robert De Niro, Al Pacino and Meryl Streep.
The award will be presented to the winner of The Hours on June 10 at a star-studded special ceremony at Los Angeles Reports. diverse.
