American film director Oliver Stone said on Tuesday that Russian President Vladimir Putin He suffered from cancer while the director focused his work on the Russian president.
The Oscar-winning director told podcast interviewer Lex Friedman that Putin has beaten cancer. “Remember this, Mr. Putin has this cancer and I think he licks that,” he said, without specifying what type of cancer the Russian president had.
British broadcaster LBC reported on Saturday that the American director, who is credited with the films JFK, Scarface and Platoon, gave multiple interviews to Putin from 2015 to 2017 on topics that weren’t taboo. According to TDPel Media, Stone has not met Putin in 3 years.
Stone’s allegations come amid ongoing speculation about Putin’s health as Russia’s war in Ukraine continues.

The Kremlin has not publicly commented on Putin’s health since the start of the war. However, Christopher Steele, a former UK intelligence official, He recently said that Putin left the meetings to receive medical treatment.
“The Security Council meetings, which were supposed to last an hour, were actually divided into several sections,” Steele, who served in the MI6 intelligence office, said during an interview with LBC Radio. “[Putin] He goes out and gets some kind of medical treatment in between those departments.”
Steele added that Putin “is constantly accompanied at the scene by a team of doctors.” Steele did not explain the basis of his speculation, but claimed that it “certainly has a very serious influence on the governance of Russia at the present time.”
“There is increasing chaos in the Kremlin and chaos, in fact, that there is no clear political leadership coming from Putin, who is increasingly ill,” he added.
On May 16, Steele made similar statements About Putin’s health as he told Sky News, “Certainly, from what we hear from sources in Russia and elsewhere, is that Putin is, in fact, seriously ill.”
“It’s not clear exactly what this disease is – whether it’s incurable or endless, or whatever. But certainly, I think it’s part of the equation,” Steele added.
Meanwhile, the head of Ukraine’s military intelligence, Maj. Gen. Kirillo Budanov, said earlier this month that Putin was “extremely ill.”
“Mr. Putin is in very poor psychological and physical condition and is very ill,” Budanov said.
Putin’s health has been questioned repeatedly since Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24. In April, Visegrád 24 News posted a video on Twitter Speculation that the Russian president may have Parkinson’s disease.
“This is probably the clearest video of anything wrong with Putin’s health. Look at the jerk of his leg and hand! Is there any doctor who would like an evaluation for Parkinson’s disease?” Visegrád 24 News wrote on Twitter.
