Stormy Daniels attacks Trump at documentary premiere at SXSW

Stormy Daniels skipped the red carpet on Friday but took the stage briefly after the documentary's screening windy, which premiered at SXSW on the opening night of the festival. She was emotional, often wiping her tears, as she hugged director Sarah Gibson and talked about how important the film was to her. Judd Apatow is executive producer of the film, which will premiere on Peacock later this month.

Since the push came in the run-up to the 2016 presidential election, some have called it electoral fraud. The Manhattan District Attorney is currently preparing for trial in the secret money case against Trump.

When the existence of these payments was revealed, Trump called Daniels a liar. She sued him for defamation and lost, ending up on the hook for $300,000 to cover his legal expenses. The attorney who initially took and defended her case, Michael Avenatti, was convicted of defrauding her and in 2022 was sentenced to four years in prison for wire fraud and identity theft after stealing book contract proceeds from Daniels by forging her signature on a letter to her agent.
