Camilla dethrones Prince Andrew and becomes colonel of the Grenadier Guards

The Queen Consort received Prince Andrew’s ignominious role as Colonel of the Grenadier Guards in changing senior Royal military posts.

The change will also see the Princess of Wales promoted to her first role in the military, taking over the position of Colonel of the Irish Guards from her husband.

The Prince of Wales would become Colonel of the Welsh Guards instead.
